A members cut has been done in the community based on the newest list of active members of HiH. I've tried to be very careful of my clickings, but mistakes might have happened. If you feel you've been cut by a mistake, please do rejoin!

There are 235 people watching this community who are not members. If you are not a member, you cannot see or participate in the icon contest. You need to apply to be sorted at platform_934 first, and once you have a house, you can come play! If you already have a house, you may have been removed from hogwartsishome due to inactivity. Contact your house's prefects to rejoin the community (then come back here and participate so you don't get cut again!)

If you are a member of your house's common room and of hogwartsishome and believe you should also be a member here, apply to join and you will be promptly added!

Christmas was amazing but a lot more hectic than expected! I'm having to deal with only dial-up and it's absolutely killer for dealing with graphics. I hope you can forgive me for the delay, but don't worry, these points will count in THIS term! I hope everyone else is having a great Holiday!

I'm sorry about the delay, but results for Challenge #13 should be up soon. I think Emily has been tied up somewhere, but I'm sure she will post the results as soon as she can. (:

Also, Challenge #13 will be the last challenge for this term, as term will be ending on the 31st. Thanks to everyone who participated this term (be it submitting graphics or voting, you guys are awesome!) and making it such a fun term for the both of us! It has been a pleasure co-modding this comm, and I hope you will continue participating in the future terms!

Here, finally, is Challenge #13. I am very sorry, everyone. I dislocated my shoulder earlier in the week and after a large storm, my internet was down all of yesterday. Thanks for voting and participating this week! Emily's in charge of the next challenge, but I'm not sure about how to proceed from now on, because if we post the prompt now, it's pretty unfair for you guys because there's very little for you to come up with your submission. I will discuss this with her and let you guys know the result as soon as possible.

But for now I have a poll for you! During voting for this challenge, there were comments from members regarding which method they prefer for voting. I generally prefer the one which you enter the numbers according to your preferences (the voting style used for Challenge #10) because you have no way to know how a certain banner is doing, so there is a certain level of suspense.

But the other method has its benefits as well, and since you guys are the ones voting, you get to choose which one we use. To make the deal sweeter, you get 1 point per vote. :D

METHOD 1 (SAMPLE)

+ Entering the numbers according to preferences.
+ Getting First Choice votes earn a graphic 3 points, Second Choice votes 2 points, and Third Choice votes 1 point.
+ First Choice, Second Choice and Third Choice votes are added together, and the graphic with the highest number of points win First Place, the graphic with the second highest number of points win Second, and so on.
+ Special Category votes are tallied separately.
+ There is no way to know which graphic is winning until results are announced.
+ Voting is anonymous.

METHOD 2 (SAMPLE)

+ Checking the boxes corresponding the the numbers of the top 3 best graphics.
+ Results are immediately visible.
+ The graphic with the highest numbers of votes win first place, the graphic with the next highest number of votes win second, and so on.
